This is a really nice article to read well thought out lots of information to back up the data if OEL has a good year it's going to be interesting to see how all the data can be pointing in the wrong direction when it comes to human nature.

I'm curious how often a player improves after a trade. Is there any good examples of a player card where their numbers are declining and go back up in new circumstances?

Analytics has never won a Stanley Cup and no team like the Laughs in Toronto that relies almost exclusively on them has won a cup, so again, this is a yawn of a post. Benning, of whom I'm no fan, hit a good one here. OEL will excel with a team that can score and wants to push forward. Garland is going to elevate Horvat and push Pearson to the third line where he belongs. The Caunucks will get at least four good years from OEL if not the duration of the deal. Analytics should be a small part of building a hockey club, not what it is built with. I'd never want Dubas as my GM nor an analytics based management group.
