A kings ransom! Just like the umpteen players that underachieved in the blue and white and were dealt, watch for Kapanen to excel in Pittsburg while the Leafs waste their so called "kings ransom" on "let's hope they develop draft selections" or trades for 'middle of the road', expendable parts of other non achieving teams, only to play the same role for the mighty blue and white. They might want to consider moving out the under achieving President and analytical genius GM.
Kapanen has huge upside. Why this Pro leaf author said he was a poor special teams player is absurd. Kapanen is an excellent penalty killer who scored 5 short handed Goals year before. Including one that put them ahead of Boston heading into the third period in game seven. He has been blocked from reaching his potential with the Leafs. No trade can be judged on the surface. Takes years to properly assess them. The author is a biased leaf nut job fan.
The Kasperi Kapanen Trade Makes No Sense for the Penguins
Is worth revisiting?

Thank you for the in-depth evaluation of the trade! Will be really intresting to see how it plays out for both teams (but mostly the Penguins).
Uhhh...who is JFresh and how many Stanley Cups has he won??? There has to be some reason why JR and/or Sully wanted Kapanen!!!
